More ceremony photos

I can't believe it's been two months since the ceremony! I'm sure by now everyone has seen the amazing photos that JP and Crystal took (check out the link at the bottom if you haven't), but the wonderful Paula took some great photos too, and we wanted to share them with you. Thank you Paula, and thank you to all of our friends and family who helped make this day possible. July 7th was a truly magical day, and Aaron and I are still amazed and touched at the gifts of time, energy and creativity that you all gave. We are blessed to have each one you in our lives. In this one above I just joined Aaron in the gazebo and Seanna is still patiently taking each petal off of the hollyhock, not quite finished with her job. Seanna and Alan walking to the gazebo...check out those red cowboy boots. Thanks for waiting patiently in the July sun for us to cross the water on the raft! Walking with my parents toward the gazebo and we're intercepted by one miss Stacia who has thrown her flowers and is ready to sit in Grandma's lap. Thanks Chris for being willing to say a few lines, even though you usually prefer a more silent kind of role.Eric and Renee tie the hand fasting ribbons around our arms. The middle of the hand fasting. Look at JP in the background...he even attached a camera to the gazebo (which I didn't know until I saw it in a photo). Thank you to my brother Josh, Aaron's sister Sara, Chris and Renee Mackey, Eric Johnson and Lindsay Cantler for being a part of our ceremony. We love you! Aaron and his mom Carolyn on the raft pushed by the MVP of the day, our good friend Kris Giere. Myself and my parents, Jimmy and Kathy, once again pushed by our hero, Kris. The Benke family standing in line to sign our certificate, made by the beautiful Kelsea MacIlroy. Some of the 06-07 La Puente volunteers, Nora, Shawna, Kevin, Rachel and Emmy. Lindsay and Chris coming across the water. If you can't tell from the photos, it was a day I'll never forget, and not just because we chose 7/7/07. I think before the ceremony Aaron and I were both excited to celebrate our love with people we love, but we didn't really expect much to change. We were already sharing our lives with each other; already living that choice. Not much has changed within our daily lives, it's true, but there was something about saying those words out loud to one another among other people, something about the spiritual magic of the day, that brought us even closer together. It's hard to put this into words, so I'll stop trying now, but thank you again for all of the loving support you've given us.
